Franklin Canyon Park is located on the eastern edge of the Santa Monica Mountains. It covers more than 600 acres and features a three-acre lake, a duck pond and more than five miles of hiking trails. Aside from hiking, the park is a popular spot for cycling, birdwatching and picnicking.
Santa Monica Mountains Recreation & Conservancy is located in Franklin Canyon Park. It oversees many parks in the Los Angeles area.
